I’ve always been a fan of M.N. Forgy’s bikers. I was SUPER excited for her to try her hand at romantic comedy! The premise for this book is one I always enjoy reading, because the events so often make me laugh out loud when they happen!The two characters meeting really set the tone for the whole story. I’m definitely not telling you that part, but let’s just say it accurately introduces the characters. Rae is a girl who has always felt to be the “black sheep” of the family. Max is also not the most prized member of his family, and has a sort of … reputation. Together they decide to change their reputations and solve all their issues through a fake relationship.
I loved seeing the characters grow within their relationship, as well as within themselves. They seem like shallow characters at first, but there’s more than meets the eye. Especially with Max, it seems he has a lot under the surface that we can’t see. Together, it seems like they help to bring out the best in each other.
The only thing that I struggled with in part of the story, it seemed that the relationship matured a little too quickly. For most of the story, I think things progressed well, even with some of their setbacks. But for me, I felt a little … unfulfilled toward the middle. I think everything wrapped up well, but it was just a part in the middle.
The story is hilariously funny and I definitely recommend it if you need a good laugh!

What a fun and sexy rom-com from an author who usually writes biker books and romances full of rough guys and even tougher chicks.
I laughed and got mad at a certain jerk of a groom and all of the crazy antics that followed with best friends, and siblings and hard-to-please moms. What a wild ride this book was but I just knew that through all the protesting and games and "fake" relationship stuff, that Rae and Max would get their acts together and figure out what we the readers knew all along.
A super hilarious and touching story of making mistakes, not living with regret and finding the right one to be your 'forever after'.

I rarely get time to read anymore. MN Forgy is an author that I’ve read as a blogger and I always loved the complexity of her characters and the way she weaves a story together. I’m used to her down and dirty side. The MC author who makes fans fall in love with alpha men who might not be heroes to the world they are in, but to the reader they are and you instantly want more of them. So, I knew going in Plus One would be a different kind of read. A big departure for her and I was excited to try it.
This book had everything. I giggled and snorted and then I laughed out loud at 2 in the morning. It was hilarious and fun and I fell in love with the characters. Max and Rae were instantly relatable to me and I rooted for them from the beginning. The chemistry was there from the beginning and the way they met… hah. (You have to read) But then I expect a great couple in a book I read.
What added to my enjoyment of the book more was the friendship/relationship of Rae and her best friend Quinn. I LOVED IT. And let me just say the Pepper Spray incident had me wishing I had a Quinn in my corner.

Looking for something light-hearted with the right amount of drama exactly where you need it? Plus One by M.N. Forgy writing as Missy Blake is a romantic comedy that will surely take the cake!
Max, the guy with his backwards wearing hat ways and banana boxers that will give every woman something to smile about steals the show completely. The spark between him and Rae is felt instantly, providing more than enough giggles to make you question your own sanity.
Missy, or M just has a way with words. Whether it's writing about the dark and gritty life of her MC boys, ways of one prostitute turned escort with a past that clashes with her present, or creating something new and refreshing that touches the fluffy side of you, the growth in her craft cannot be ignored.
A disaster wedding that doesn't actually happen filled with heartache, one bride and her cake face, and an escape with the runaway groom's estranged bestfriend, Plus One is the perfect set up for laughs, angst, and chemistry that cannot be faked!
OMG I really loved this book! It was well written, hilarious and Max was over the top swoon worthy. If you like a great romcom, you have to read this book. Rae and Max have both been burned in the past by love. They are now similarly on a mission of partying and never letting another near their hearts. What starts as an arrangement with a mutual benefit of getting their families to stop setting them up on nightmare blind dates, quickly turns into something more.
I haven’t read anything from this author before, but will definitely have to now. I loved Rae! More often than not I tend to like the hero a lot more than the heroine. Not this time! I did love Max, but Rae really stole the show. She was hilarious, intelligent, confident, and could dish out the insults with the best of them.
Max, your typical alpha in a lot of ways, was also a romantic at heart. He just didn’t want anyone seeing his vulnerable side after being betrayed. I loved how protective and possessive he was of Rae. It was also refreshing that they didn’t fight their feelings for each other. They both just went with it. Awesome!
One of the best scenes of the book was when Rae’s best friend Quinn pepper sprayed Rae’s ex, and while he was rolling around on the ground in agony Rae granny style beat him with her purse. Hilarious!
This is going on my favorites list for sure!
